LSD World Peace

LSD World Peace comes from the name of a book, that was published in 2015, of San Francisco based artist Joe Roberts' work over the course of a decade.

Joe's work has a distinguishable style through his use of crayon, paper, and found objects to translate his understanding of the world, using pop culture icons as the protagonists of his paintings. Childhood cartoons of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Fantasia's Mickey Mouse are used in Joe's cryptic index of cultural symbols that explore dreams, drugs, childhood objects and activities to everyday reality.

As an extension of his art practice, his creations have been expanded and translated to the medium of clothing and associated ephemera that continues to reinterpret films, comics, dandies, logos, branding of the 80s and 90s and countercultural references from the 60s/70s.
