Basketball legend Michael Jordan made a statement when he first stepped onto the court in his original signature shoe, the Air Jordan in 1984.
Infamous for going against the grain of uniform restrictions at the time and receiving a $5000 fine every time Jordan wore the shoes; it became a cult icon, not only in basketball, but also in the streets, cinema and alternative sports.
Having appeared on the feet of MCs like Ice-T, to appearing in Spike Lee's film Do The Right Thing and being endorsed by Powell Peralta's Bones Brigade team, the Air Jordan has crossed over into a wide variety of influential sub-cultures that have informed contemporary fashion, music and art.
The Jordan collection includes shoes, clothing and accessories are inspired by MJ himself.
